I saw a TV program about 'Blue jacking', where someone takes over your
phone and calls their own premium rate numbers. I would have thought
the phone would need to be paired, but maybe there are some bugs than
can be exploited?

Next time you're in a train station or somewhere busy do a bluetooth
scan. I guarantee you'll find loads.
