I was at the little red dot just south of you for almost a year recently -
so I'll throw you some comments (from a pui angmo perspective) that I
think might be specific to your locale:
If you are in Malaysia why not apply for a dev job at UBS?
That place will remain a VFP shop, imo, for the next 4 years at least.
Of course, if you work at UBS at the moment and you are having this
problem, then GOSH! Golly! GeeWhillikers even - wtf happened?
But - you said this - here's some comments:

Your career is never at the end. You're j-o-b may go away, you may change
companies due to lack of funding or redundancy, but you will never stop
your career. If you can understand the difference, and quickly, you will
make huge inroads to what it means to have 'a career'.

Yes you do - you have a computer and internet access - go hit up all of
the other VFP dev shops in Malaysia and tell them you are looking for work
either as a contractor or as a FTE employee.
As it is now, you are about to allow despair to set in and swallow your
existence. Don't let that happen, ah? hao bu hao.
This can't possibly be the first time you've looked for work as a software
developer, right?
Moving Sideways, if I were you, I'd find all of the Malaysian UBS
authorized resellers (there's a huge list on their website, btw) and pick
up the phone and CALL THEM, touting your experience as a VFP developer.
It's not the only vertical market company in MY, but they are the largest
utilizing VFP and have a solid channel for their resellers. All of the
resellers do customization work at the source code level and continually
need VFP talent.
Moving Sideways again - do you have the contact info for VFP Development
groups in Malaysia? I have a list, it's a bit dated.. I'll share it with
you (maybe) if you can send me an email offlist and include a narrative
about what you've been doing with VFP.
IF I were in your shoes, I'd join the MS Empower For ISV Program and get a
few software products out the door written in VFP for resale and
marketing. See www.empowerforisv.com iirc it's about 1200 Ringit to join,
then some other costs for testing later in your sw dev lifecycle. There's
some other avenues for you to get into at

The Telemarketing arena in Malaysia has boomed the last two years and the
majority of small call centers (30 to 100 seats) are using VFP as the tool
of choice for SFA. There are many in Penang, and you should be able to
find several that need assistance. There are HUGE call centers in KL too -
which city are you in?
You might also consider becoming an independent consultant - lots of risk
but the dollar amounts are higher. I would suggest that you look hard at
the FoxFire! application and target FoxFire Sales and YOUR services to
companies larger than 20 who use databases - it's a great reporting tool
for any database (but requires a VFP guru to set it up properly).
Remember you have a good skill set (right?) so you need to market yourself.
To stand in a puddle of tears after despair has set in really sucks.
If you are competent in training, why not set up workshops in VFP? I did
something similar in GZ - see http://china.efgroup.net/training.html ...
There's enough of an outline there that you can pick and choose what you
can present on.
and Finally... If someone *MOVED* your cheese, then it's been stolen.
Suggest you learn how to make cheese, and stop complaining.
And come on - can't you use another 3 bowls of laksa? mum mum mum ..
