I didn't like the example because I thought it was too simplistic.
1. No error codes to diagnose problems
2. No hooks to report progress (important for file downloads)
3. No options for passwords, ports, etc.
IMO, if you're writing production code, Rich Strahl's wwIPstuff ($129)
is a much better alternative in terms of functionality. And also in
terms of dependencies.
