"To make the push you click on the Synchronize word or icon below the menu
bar. That will present the last chance at where the data is coming from and
going to. The top button should be selected. Make changes to TGISQL <db
name> to make it the same as TGISTAGESQL<db name>. Click Next button.
This is the script that will be run. Please scroll down past the comments
at the top and verify that there is only one table getting updated, and the
row(s) that are being applied are what you are expecting. This is your
second to last chance for salvation. If you apply changes to the entire db
and cover all the tables by accident your in for long hours of reversal
from the log file. And that log is only good for fifteen min. and then it's
backed up. So do you feel lucky?"
Part of the job description is knowledge and USE of the Red Gate tools. We
do a ton of promotion of stage data to production because nobody wanted to
build a tool to do it. I got shot down for working on one. Wonder why I'm
leaving??? Hehehehehe
