I don't agree that our common values are disintegrating. But I do think our
culture is fragmented and that we have no shared, recognized authority.
But our values for the most part are alive and well.
The values in the Bush administration seem to be pretty questionable,
considering what we see with the Plamegate situation. But it is encouraging
to me to see the polls with respect to the whole issue, because it appears
that a majority of Americans are seeing the administration as corrupt.
I don't know what's next. Everything is such a mess that I suspect there are
some pretty big surprises still coming.
