I don't have the problem, I been using PowerDesk for years.

It's the first piece of software I install after installing a new OS!

The link is to a free version with only a nag screen that displays when
you end powerdesk. I leave it on all the time (put it in my startup
folder) and never had to see the nag. I bought the "full" version years
ago to reward them for great software.
