John, if the 'new features in .NET' amount to endowing .NET with VFP
data handling capabilities
("access methods" in IBM-speak), then I think it's entirely possible
that, if done right, .NET will be an upgrade from VFP. Having Calvin on
the .NET team is one related piece of good news, don't you think?

Maybe I am imagining too much, but we do have at least 9 years to see
how things work out. That's a very long time in this business, as you
know.

I'm optimistic on this one.
