Ya - he also just upgraded it (or did on Wednesday) with support for large
buttons and the like.

The only thing I'm hesitant about (and primarily because of time right now)
is the distribution. The VCX file gets "locked" when it's licensed (this is
how it knows when it's unregistered or whatever). Each new version has a
different "lock" on it so when I upgraded, I had to reinstall it but
otherwise, it appears to work.

The only thing right now is that I haven't had enough time to put it into
all of my apps.

Hi Michael,

Alex's site is back up and he's offering a 25% discount on the base product
without subscription.

purchase it?

Hopefully it brings a lot more bread ($) to my table! ;)

CommandBars is the OOP menu and toolbar you had always hoped would
finally(!) show up in VFP. An additional benefit is that the appearance of
CommandBar menus and toolbars can be changed to match Office 2000, Office
XP, Office 2003, Visual Studio 2003 or Visual Studio 2005 look and feel.
Plus some nice to have features such as tear off menus and a built-in
interface that allows users to customize the layout of menu and toolbar
options to suit their taste. I also want to study Alex's property browser
which is modeled after the VS Studio 2005 property browser. I believe there
may be source code for the property browser, but I'm not sure.

If you're interested, check out the free evaluation version on his site.
Or read the very flattering review of the product by Andrew MacNeill in this
month's FoxPro Advisor. Andrew MacNeill's blog also has a voice annotated
screen show that demonstrates how CommandBars works as he puts the product
through its paces on a form. Cool stuff!

Does that answer your question?

Malcolm
