I tested a couple of other 3rd party solutions and found XFRX to do the
best job of accurately rendering my VFP report output to a PDF. (I wrote
a little class that let me test those products in succession with the
same report.) That's the most important pro. The fact that it lets you
send report output to all the other formats it handles, as well as
zipping the resulting file, is icing on the cake for me. There's also an
implementation as a reportlistener for VFP 9, which we're not supporting
yet but it looks like it makes using various features simpler. If you
want to drop it in, it's pretty easy to do.At it's most basic you can
run a report through it in about half a dozen lines of code. It does not
have any native email capability but there are enough options for
handling that and I think we've all worn that topic out. (MAPI bad, SMTP
good...)

Very small files as far as distribution goes. There's an fxp, an FLL and
2 DLLs and one of those is for zipping files. All told it's about 600k.
If you want to use its previewer, I think there are other files you need
to distribute and that's another 600k or so.

I'll go look for it. I don't remember him doing a complete wrapper.
There's also a wrapper class that's part of the latest version of
WebConnect but it "just" encapsulates the basic PDF functions and I'm
starting out a bit more ambitious in my plans. Besides it's a good
exercise in writing a PRG based class for me as I usually work with the
GUI tools.
