We use a symbol SBT 1550 hand held device. I is a palm-compatible PDA with the built-in bar code reader. I wrote a simple program in a program called Tracer to read in inventory tags into a database and then compare it to the master list in VFP and print out missing and moved equipment reports. I am very pleased with the robustness of it.
