How can you make the last comment. Of course money is evil!!!! And
those who have the most, have done the most evil things. The most
morally pure are those living in poverty and taking the ill-gotten gains
from the rich.

Now the problem we have is that if we take this evil substance from the
rich, and give it to the poor, they, too, will become polluted by it. I
guess the government is the only organization qualified to hold this
evil cash because people certainly can't do it safely. But wait, the
government is made up of people... many of them the underperformers...
so they may be relatively pure.

On the other hand, money is often, but not always, a measure of one's
service to society. (let them chew on that one also)

Couple of things.
1) If you are relying on the media to get your information, then you
deserve the information you get.
2) TV and Radio over the air-waves is dead and that is the only area you
can point to if you want to play the public trust card and that's only
because of the government selling them spectrum. The rest of media that
is not confined by airwave spectrum purchases is most definently not a
public trust it is a business. Like all businesses it must provide what
its customers want. Stop providing that and your customers go where
they can get it (i.e. TV vs cable and satelite)
3) Exactly who are these media barons you keep refering to? If any
media business thought they could make more money spouting the opposing
view, they would flip in an instant and that includes all the "wind
bags" on talk radio both left and right.

You want to make this the fault of some conspiracy to confuse, cover-up,
and lie in order to protect a political point of view. There is no way
it is that. It is a choice by the media groups to get "the best bang
for the buck". People are getting exactly what they want. You can NOT
fault the suppliers of this media for that. Give PBS education programs
the same ratings at "Fear Factor", or "Survivor" and you will have media
outlets falling all over themselves to produce educational programs.

Money.....it's what makes the world go around....and the beauty of it is
that money is amoral!

(this should be fun after that last comment...<s>)
