Perhaps Ed can weigh in on the use of CursorAdapter with VFP8 and MySQL. It seems to me he ran into a problem with the MySQL ODBC driver selected for a VFP8-MySQL project last year, and ended up using SPT. SPT worked great, but it was a new app created with SPT in mind. If you can get around the MySQL ODBC issue the CursorAdapter would indeed be a nice "get-me-by".
