The correct reason is that they are too busy playing video games to worry about the first
amendment.

However, they could be hip to the the treacherous individuals that make up the press. Remember,
when our founding fathers drew up the Constitution, they didn't foresee a time when the press
would be working directly for the enemy. They didn't foresee a time when victims of a crime would
be made to appear as to be "asking for it". They didn't live in a time when the press would forge
documents to bring down a presidency. They didn't live in a time when punk cartoonists can make
fun of beheaded fellow citizens.

Now common sense tells you that there should be limits to free speech. They realize that you
can't make stuff up about someone without consequences. Perhaps the kids of today understand
this.

In my world, Dan Rather would go to jail for falsifying government documents. Only a moron would
think that's a "free speech" issue.
