Judith,

Here's the download page
http://leafe.com/dls/vfp

Here's the entry I'm referencing:

MakeUpdatable: Generic program to make a VFP SPT cursor updatable. Use
from the VFP IDE or integrate into your apps. Intended as a tutorial,
not for production. Author: Paul McNett, Freeware - 4.5K Last updated:
2003-08-07

This program will explain how you can open a remote table as a cursor
and update it. You will need to work with your web developer to get
information on how to connect to his database. You will also need to
download and install an ODBC driver for the database in question.

This process may be tedious and frustrating, but IMO I still think its a
far better approach than trying to create a webservice interface to your
remote database.

Malcolm

<<There's code samples on Ed's download site that show how you can use
VFP
and ODBC to connect to remote MySQL tables. So - in theory - rather than
generate FTP tables, you could use VFP, an ODBC connection and MySQL
ODBC
driver (free) to fill your developers tables with updated content using
a
regular VFP program.>>

I can't seem to find these examples. Could you give me a little more
direction as to where it is?

Thanks
