Jim,
I'm very pleased - make that extremely pleased - with webdrive. It's one of those products that "just works".
Dealing with web maintenance is soooo much easier when your website is a remote drive. I have a bunch of batch files and a few VFP utilities that move stuff around, archive files, etc. I can even test these batch files locally and once debugged, I just change the drive letter to my remote webdrive.
Perhaps if there's sufficient interest from this list, you could ask for a Profox discount? (I am not affiliated with webdrive in any way)
Feel free to ask any questions.
Malcolm

Malcolm,
Thanks for the info on WebDrive. I've been looking for something like this.

Kris,
I don't know if it will make you feel any better, but your experience is still 1000x better than my experiences with Powweb and Interland. I will spare the list the gory details, but at least you have a working server. Powweb and Interland couldn't even manage to provide that, let alone preserve data. And don't even get me started about their so called email "services" :(
A tip ...
I use a $50 product called Webdrive (www.webdrive.com) that runs as a service and allows one to map an externally hosted site to a local drive letter on your PC. The plumbing is via FTP, SFTP, or FrontPage extensions.
My wife maintains a non-profit website in FrontPage and after she makes a lot of changes I "xcopy /s" her entire site back to a matching directory structure on her local PC. Its as simple as that - one simple xcopy command. I call that cheap insurance regardless of your choice of hosting firms!
IMO, webdrive is one of those gotta have programs - definitely on my top 5 list of mission critical programs/utilities that I would hate to live without.
If you have any questions about webdrive, feel free to post to the list or to me privately. I'm happy to help out.
Good luck getting your website back online. I have felt your pain and have lots of empathy for your situation.
Malcolm
