I've known some people who consider ice fishing to be fun. I'm not one
of them.

It's not all that cold, compared to a lot of places. It's just that
the proximity to the Great Lakes creates the phenomenon known as "lake
effect snow". That's when there is no storms around, but we still get 6
inches of snow every night.

Dairy Queen? Hell no! It's the Abbott's Frozen Custard that's closed
for half the year.

Nope. We have the Finger Lakes, which are where many people spend

I think the above apply to any northern town that isn't a big city.
