Could you possibly restate your example? I confess I could not follow it.

Unfortunately all such value judgments are relative. It would be much simpler if everyone just accepted my definitions. ;)
But then everybody thinks that---and all politics, when you boil it down, is an attempt to convince your fellow man that your definitions make the most sense. Regardless of the subject.
The only absolute is that there will never be total agreement on anything, and compromise puts the law in a constant state of internal contradiction.
