I agree with what you're saying here AFTER they get in as I've allways laughed at people that said "he said he was going to do that" and he didn't... Like you say, there are about 500 + people that also have to allow him to do that..
BUT, we don't even know exactly where kerry stands on the issues right this minute as he changes to fit the problem of the day.
With bush I see 4 more years exactly like the last 4 years and with the exception of the jobs going offshore I think things are fairly good and getting better.

Your kidding right? You have no idea where either stands yesterday, today or tomorrow. Politicians only speak the sound bite for a niche audience.
If I went back to the last election "promises" you might find 1 or 2 were completed. Why so little? Well they are only 1 person who has to get 100 jerks in the senate and 437 ??? Numb-skulls in the congress to come together on your idea.
So to know what either is going to do or accomplish is all a crap shoot. IMO.
