Most states have the ability to re-title abandoned cars. In Arizona I think the time period is just a few months to be considered abandoned. A friend of the family did this some years ago. With the title in her name she could sell it (or whatever). Just required an affidavit from her. Careful here, lying on an affidavit is perjury. Not good.
