if you are gathering form info on a linux host - you have some options:
1. FormMail [matt's script archive ? plus other deviants ]
2. custom with php
3. custom with php into sendmail via cgi
4. custom with php into mysql
5. custom with php into mysql and FormMail/SendMail
many linux based webhosting firms use a solid ASP thingie from ChiliSoft
[already mentioned] - but ?
for asp ? you are wanting some ado thingie to sling into a database?
pitch that [asp/ado] and use a php based adodb - can use *ANY* database .

you'll find the commands are the same, and the configuration is ALMOST like
ado , without some nasty overhead [i like things that don't bleed memory, I
do] .
