My favorite is WinHex. In fact, I recently had a client who had a disk that
he took to just about every shop in town - no one could even mount it. Even
though I also couldn't mount it, I recovered everything he needed.
Encase is also good if you don't mind spending a few thousand. I have also
used EasyRecovery Professional for some of the more simple jobs
