Well, you could probably write your own VFP8RUN.EXE, taking in the name of the file, and DO'ing it. Add the registry entries to launch .PRGs automatically by associating the file extension, and you'll have un-done everything the Fox team did.
But it would be better just to create an EXE. Even if it just contains the single line DO MAIN.PRG or whatever your program is named.

I can use the DLL's with a compiled EXE from VFP8.
I was just running into the problem of having an old PRG file that I had running using the VFP7RUN.EXE It looks like that is no longer possible with VFP8.
Can someone educate me on this?
