I stopped when I saw these items in the terms:

---------
During your membership, develop one (1) commercial software solution that natively supports at least one of the Microsoft software programs listed in the table below,* for one of your customers.

Within 6 months from activation of your membership, publicly announce the new commercial software solution on your official Web site.

Within 12 months from activation of your membership, release the new commercial software solution.

During your membership, make a reasonable commercial effort to pass one of the software tests authorized by Microsoft and listed in the table below**.

Upon expiration of your membership, make a reasonable commercial effort to join the Microsoft Certified Partner Program based on successfully passing one of the software tests authorized by Microsoft and listed in the table below**.

---------

I don't want to spend a lot of extra time jumping through hoops for MS certification or whatnot when my products would sell just as well without it. I also don't know what MS would do if a company didn't make a 'reasonable commercial effort' to do this... Also, are there costs involved in joining the Microsoft Certified Partner Program? I didn't have time to research all this, so I decided not to join...
