Hi Bill!

Thanks for the information.

My ISP guy says not to use phpBB for what I am trying to do, for some of
the reasons you mention, and also "because it would be a kludge".

I wonder if you know anything about this one: DBDesigner 4, recently
acquired by MySQL AB.

Looks a little like the fox, has a Windows or Linux version, uses MySQL for
the back end. I can't tell if it can create an exe or runtime application,
but it is freely distributable so cost per seat is not a factor. Just that
the full program would confuse the average user, heck, it confuses me!
