One additional thing I just found, again testing with VFP8.
When using RETURN .F. in the valid, you get that wait window and you can't leave the text box. This is true even if you go to click the close box of the form.
When NODEFAULT is used in the LostFocus, it is letting me click on the close box of the form.
Oh, I forgot about returning 0 from Valid (testing...) nope. Can't close the form with the close box with this either.
Looks like NODEFAULT in LostFocus has a slight advantage. Just what I was looking for! <g>
