Subject: Why backup?

Our tape drive that we used to backup up with got fried about a month
ago, and I do not think I have been able to convince my boss how
important and dire this is. Our company's entire foundation is built on
our name and sales databases. Could I get some responses on why it is
important to backup, and hear some horror stories of not backing up?
Thanks!
