Backup what? The name and sales databases? What if you didn't have them, how much money would you lose?
It's like security. You have to determine the value of what you're protecting, then spend less than that value to protect it.
If your sales database generates $100/year, it's not worth backing up. If it's used to generate $50,000/year, you can spend $500 on Ebay to pick up a used drive.

If you can't spend the money on ArcServe, at least use whatever backup that came with your server os. It's better than nothing. Or throw it on a CDR weekly if it's small enough..
You don't have to spend a butt-load of money, just enough to cover the costs of replacing what you will lose.
