I had a similar problem on one machine when installing s/w. Whenever I
put in disk 2 it would continually ask for disk 2 and when I did a dir
on a: with disk 2 in it would still show the file listing for disk 1.
The workaround I used until I changed the drive was to just do a refresh
in explorer on the a: drive after putting the 2nd disk in which seemed
to work most of the time.
