You can open tables from previous versions of FoxPro without causing
problems. You can even modify a Fox2x table in VFP8 if your modifications
are consistent with Fox2x (and of course the same goes for VFP6 and VFP7).

If you use new features of VFP8 such as the AutoInc data type you can't use
the table in VFP7.

One question, is there any difference in table structure that make it
impossible to open a table in vfp7 once the table has been modified in
vfp8??
