I would change this thusly, "Perfect" is:
1) Make it Work (this IS "right") 2) If required, make it faster.
One would seldom have to do #2 with VFP.
By "work", I mean;
a1) Make the interface for the user intuitive and easily viewed and learned by the intended user(s) a2) get, save, process and report the correct data to/from the correct places.

Frankly, the great beauty of VFP is that one has many choices as to how to accomplish #1 above. Some of us like to get involved in complex structures like OOP, classes, etc. etc., others of us (me) just need to use native components and simple code. VFP gives us all of these capabilities.

Excellent advice - a keeper! (I find it easy to get distracted with trying to come up with the "perfect" solution, yet some of my best work is when I'm under tight deadlines and don't have time for perfection)
