Hi Barry,
The issue with .DBC being briefly locked when Local or Remote views are
included in the DBC is a pretty well know issue with VFP. Some of the tricks
I use...
1. Separate DBC for Views
2. Ensure all of the remote views are stable, and read only in the .DBC
3. Compile the DBC into the clients EXE /or/ provide a copy of the DBC in
the users private Citrix path - but not shared on the central data
directory...
With each user getting a copy of their own DBC for the remote views, the
locking issues are substantially eliminated...
