Just to be clear -- I don't mean you (Lou) would have "problems", I mean your
organization. I hope you don't take this as a slam on you personally. I didn't
mean it that way.

When I was using VSS, it was in just that sort of organization. The official
source control was ClearCase -- serious overkill for what we needed. I did a
subversive thing by implementing VSS for our group which was finally, grudgingly
allowed to keep it after convincing the expensive ClearCase "consultant"
(relative of some manager) that indeed ClearCase could NOT do what we needed.

Management blaming their employees for their own incompetence was the way this
place worked.
