do not worry Bill would never chop your head off and put it on a pike.
Now using the pike to impale you up a certain opening of your body, that he
might do. This way you could still for a little while explain to others why
you are 'sitting' up on the pole. <g>

You want to know *why* conquerors would place the heads of their enemies
on a pike? As a warning to others that might follow. I suspect that's
what BillG has in store for me should I attempt your suggestion. :-)
