I wrote an app in dBASE IV several years ago that read the output from scantron batches of test scores. I'm a little fuzzy on the details but, as I remember, the output is put into one or more text files that I think were simple comma delimited.
Scantron should have docs on their file format. However, I didn't really need the documentation to figure out the file layout. Just looked at the input and compared it to the output. Pretty straight forward.
Scantron should have a sales rep who handles the client account. I'd start there with questions.

I wrote an entire app that read in student test scores on an NCS 3051 Scanner and then fed the data to a foxpro 2.6 app.
the scanning software created a text file that i then parsed into the applicable tables. If you need further help, I will see if I can dig out the old code.
