Bob thank you so much for pointing me in this direction. I think it will solve all the issues for this small office that needs to share a database on a Win 98 peer-to-peer network with minimal impact on the workstation that houses the database.
So a HUGE thank you for now and hope that I get it implemented quickly.

Sure... and don't forget to look in the Fox Foundation Classes too. I think there is one [some] to deal with offline views, and also the conflict resolution handling of bringing them back on line. Looking at this may give you some good ideas, if not alot of code!
