I guess I better clarify what I'm looking for... I need to compare tables that have been copied to different directories and make sure all the latest updates have gotten back to the master file (example -- someone takes a portion of the dataset home and modifies it and then I need to integrate that when it comes back to the office)

Have you looked at using offline views!?

No I hadn't thought of that. +but not sure that helps as the data needs to be portable between office and home computer WITHOUT dialup or web access. So they are packing the data onto a diskette or cd taking home and then need to "check it back in" on the computer in the office.
