I'm not sure quite what your problem is however something I discovered as a newbie is that INCLUDE files do some very strange things. For instance when you change something in the i-layer or (heaven forbid!) the c-layer you will sometimes get errors with your INCLUDE stuff.
When all else fails, I have found that running startcb(.T.) often corrects the problems. Sooo! when you have a problem do that first and all may be well.
