This was a My DUH!
I had changed the parent form underlying the form for updating general fields -- and changed the parent to be based on abizobjform instead of aform and the X button in the title worked again... DUHHHHH check my property settings... It wasn't the form that was crashing the program, but me, because I didn't have a "Done" or "Cancel" button on the form to give users a way out when the crazy programmer (i.e., ME!) has her properties set wrong and they can't get out of a form from the title bar.

That's odd - line 83 of SavePosition() is in the comment section. The whole method end on line 47!
The only thing I can think of is that since SavePosition() writes the form's current size to the Registry (or INI file). Perhaps your deployed system doesn't have rights to do so? Try running the preference form and change a setting - see if that causes the same type of error. </font></i>
