As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I'm working to set up the Codebook source under a publicly-accessible version control system. I've settled on CVS, since it does what I need, and unlike Visual SourceSafe, the web client software is available for free.
I have a Linux server set up to hold the source code, and have been working with Bob Archer to get the user logins and privileges set correctly. Bob only has limited time available, so if anyone would be willing to help, please send me an email and I'll get you the information you need to connect. You can download the client from http://www.cvsgui.org.
Once this is working smoothly, anyone who uncovers a Codebook bug will be able to post a fix instead of waiting for me to get around to it. All changes will generate emails to a list, so you can subscribe to the list to find out when someone has changed anything. This will also make it easier for people to get updates, since there won't be a need to wait for a packaged release; you can just grab an update for a file or a folder anytime. ___/ / __/ / ____/ Ed Leafe ©2001 Ed Leafe |
