Hi Geof! I'd like very much to get that document.
If you are overwhelmed with all the excellent guides utorials for creating one to many forms and preselect proxy lists in comboboxesListboxes and grids that have been written already such as the Flash NewsLetters and would like to kick off with a trimmed down skeletal version that explains how to get one up and running then drop me a line at gwhitham .at. bigfoot D.O.T com
This is a barebones simplified non-real world example. Comprising a one table to a many table. the one ( and consequently the many) being selected from a dropdown combobox. The header detail is displayed in text boxes and the many side in a grid. For clarity, it is unreal as it assumes that each customer places only one order of several items(ie no repeat orders). After todays typing I have not included code for saving only reading or amending existing records (that have been entered directly into tables previously.
I must restate that my effort contains nothing that is particularly insightful and no revelations and is aimed at novices to enable them to be able to produce something and encourage them to thus tinker and learn and adopt Codebook as the framework of choice.
If you are stymied at getting up and running and yet feel that Codebook looks great ..... if only you could do a one to many, then drop me a line. My skeletal approach may be just what you have been looking for.
