I have put together a 4 page word doc (so a little big for posting here)that sets out the necessary steps of starting development of a newapp. It only indicates the steps for a single form having a single bozobj looking at a single local table. For more complicated parent child data structures additional instructions would be needed but they would follow this tutorial. For those of you just getting to grips with CB and if you can understand this off the cuff tut it may illuminate the path a little.

Drop me a line and I can email it as an attachment.
If any readers wish to comment on its content, then if considered suitable I could clean it up and make it availble from the download page, depending of course on Ed's appoval.

Any one wishing to see this basic step-by-step drop me a line at gwhitham (AT) bigfoot D.OT com

In message #6230, dated 3/14/01, Ed spoke of the possibility of constructing a 'step-by-step guide' for building an application with CB. For my purposes, such a guide could be quite skeletal in nature; eg.:

1) Run 'Newapp'

2) Create database(s) and tables using...blah, blah.
a) Integrate tables into DBC, etc.

3) Create business objects for each table...blah, blah.

4) [Whatever comes next]

My example my be totally off target and inappropriate, but that is exactly my point. I have downloaded and studied the 'Definitive Guide' and the newsletters; all very good information, but I have no idea of the proper next step in construction after I have run 'Newapp' and gotten the shell functional. Any guidance would be appreciated.
