James,

As far as "reporting bugs"... I don't think there is really anyone to respond to bug reports. As you said, this is a user supported effort. Ed is more the guy that takes what people submit, puts it in, and puts togther a distribution every now and then. Although he has, in the past, fix bugs.

The correct approach is for you to 'fix' the bug, and submit it. Of course, this forum is here to discuss issues that may be out there, cause you may not have a 'bug' or you may, and everyone can agree on the fix.

Although, if Ed is to busy to keep up with it, I think he should pass the reigns to someone else. Of course, if there is someone else who is willing to do it. I personally think if there were more recent releases more people would use the framework and there would be much more contributions to it. It could be the 'linux' of the VFP world.

Thanks for the reply, Bob.

Actually, I never just complain about a bug. I always try to chase it down first.

Regarding CodeBook, I have posted suggestions for the bugs that I succeeded in chasing down. A couple times I have just posted a "me too" reminder on somebody else's post that didn't seem to get taken care of. The only one I haven't been able to get anywhere with so far is the one where the variable name in the CB ErrorHandler error message gets replaced with FORM. I've spent several hours trying to figure out why that happens and been totally unsuccessful. It doesn't happen on every error, although it happens reliably on any given error. Unfortunately, it usually happens in the middle of testing something new and complicated where I don't really want to spend a lot of time chasing a colateral problem. I can debug my problem on my development system so the problem with error message is really just a nuisance there, but when I get it in the field it would be nice if the error message was more useful.

Like I said, mainly I just exceeded my frustration threshold late at night and should have counted to ten before posting. Sorry 'bout that. The support here is usually really good.
