Thanks for you pointers to the threads I was able to solve quite a few probs with it.
Yes it was an internal problem I hadnt noticed, maybe suspected it that nos were skipping but there were lots of things I wanted to get going. But I noticed that if I add a record and discard it the ID skips for the next number.

I think you forgot to put this line under each iDynamicViewCursor that you defined in your adataenvironment.
BufferModeOveride = DB_BUFOPTRECORD</font></i>
</font></i>
I had this problem too, and it disappeared when in this Forum I found the solution to another problem, read message 6408 and perhaps it helps you</font></i>
