Hi Everyone!

A little bout me. I'm a few months fresh out of college. Now in my first full-time job as a CB developer(I got lucky ... I think). I just downloaded CB6.1 and am currently studying it. Everyone here has been using CB3 and are quite busy so no one's been able to give me a formal training yet. So I thank God ... and Ed Leafe for this support forum. Here are my thoughts:

I must warn you that I'm just starting to learn CB, so I might ask some stupid and trivial questions.

1. Is it really standard procedure in 6.1 that I start the new project directory inside the codebook directory? This wasn't the case in CB6.

I mean, couldn't I just put the directory in "C:VFP" instead of "C:VFPCODEBOOK"? It generates this error whenever I do so.
"Error with template - Name: Expreossion evaluated to an illegal value"
This one comes up in the "goapp= CREATEOBJECT(Appclass)" line of setup.prg when i "DO Main".

It's my personal preference but it looks more organized to me if all the projects were not jumbled up with the codebook stuff.

2. Does anyone know where I could download a good string searcher utility. I tried using the TS.prg that came along with CB6.1 but I think it has some bugs or I'm not using it right.

3. Any and all advices to a newbie CB6.1 developer like me will be very much appreciated.

More power to the CB community & thanks in advance!
