Greetings New Developer,

The Codebook framework is flexible and enjoyable to work with, once the learning process is engaged. The are few to no tutorials to study. But there are some resources that will help you.

Download a copy of Codebook News Letter vol 1 issue 1. The main topic is the data environment and how it provides data to the bizobj. You should also study the cBhavior.vcx although the text does not.

CNL vol 3 issue 1 demonstrates building a one to many bizobj. The metaphore is an invoice with detail lines. Familiar stuff. After reading this I made screen shots of all the properties and methods for the forms and bizobj classes. Then I taped to the wall. I hightlight methods as I read them. You can't do it all over night.

Read the articles, try out the samples, but do not think that the samples are "good production" code. They are learning tools. They illustrate ideas and concepts. Apply the concepts with your own best practices.

If you are new to oop, you may like to read S.Brenthall's book, "Object Orientation in VFP." If you feel confident of oop you should have "Design Patterns" by Gamma et al on your book shelf. Oh yeah, read it.

Then continue to post detailed questions. True, some times the answers are slow to never coming... but we all feel your pain. And if you post again in a week, someone will answer.

I do hope this helps you to get started. If there are any additional comments from the community... please attach.
