Hi Pamela,
We have it working in our systems. It was important for us to be able to allow the system administrators in our sites to be able to set up their own paths to data, security, generated reports etc. We use it quite extensively. We have also modfied setup.prg so that if either the security or the data directories are not found then the preference form loads up and allows the user to point to the correct files before going into the login screen.
If you would like a copy of my isaviuserpreference form I'd be happy to email it to you. It has a couple of minor mods to it such as passing a keyword to the form which will point the combo box to the exact record in DBPaths that you are trying to access. But, I only made minor changes to it so I can't see why it did not work for you in 6.0, or were you referring to trying to convert it to the 6.1 framework?
I believe it is a critical form - since 6.0 and 6.1 uses DBPaths.dbf there must be some way for an administrator to set up the various data paths without having to do an actual browse of the tables as some sites do not have VFP installed at them.
