Whilst I've been tinkering for some time I still consider myself a "newbie"
There is no manual. You need to try and follow this forum and ask questions as they arise. Newapp is an update of qstart and basically does the same thing. As to your directories, it really doesn't matter where your VFP is, put your codebook where you like and then use config.fpw to set your default on startup. The programsMicrosoftVFP thing only appeared with VFP5 or 6.
BTW you might as well go with the new beta version if you are not because ultimately I would guess the older stuff will disappear. Note my previous message re startup problems if you want to use the codebook menus.
BTW it looks like we are the only ones left on the planet. Everyone else must be into COMCodebook leaving us newbies to the wolves.
