We have a food specialty store, A Southern Season (www.southernseason.com)
that expanded to the web and their online store is now 50% of their
business. In any case, their year-end pre-inventory sales can't be beat for
goodies, coffee, dinnerware, cooking gadgets, etc.

Um - that is, for those who actually cook! < g >

I dont think its just the computer hardware industry. As an example amazon
in the UK was allowed to continue business making a loss and undercutting
local book shops. Many bookshops have now gone because the costs of running
shops in the UK is killing them.
