As Jeff have mention problem of Mail.app only in slow import.

3 years ago when Valentina C++ SDK was introduced, I was contacted by
developer of (it seems) Mailsmith e-mailer

He have told that they use NeoLogic, and he was interested to look on
Valentina. After some talks he have refuse to use Valentina because he need=
s
-- transactions.
-- open source.

Both this points must be significantly improved in ver 2.x

By the way, for your info:
In ver 2.0 as you know I significantly redesign kernel.
In particular the sources are separated on 3 parts:
public -- included into C++ SDK archive
protected -- for special price.
private. -- closed.

This second part will contain for example XML/SQL dump, encryption,
compression, ...=20

As result if somebody very want, he can get MUCH MORE sources of Valentina
kernel then now.

And another point to Marcus about backend for emailer.

As far as I know, for windows MS Outlook, it is VERY EASY (relatively :-)
To write ACTIVE-X component which will use Valentina as backend and you can
simply replace old backend with this new one. This is buit-in feature of
COM, and specification of backend is open. I believe that on MacOS Entourag=
e
use the same COM model. So in fact this can be not bad commercial project
for somebody. There is 2 options here
=20
-- new backend for Entourage
-- archivator of messages.
