1) yes, version 2.0 must be paid upgrade, not only because Server. Server will be new product, but because kernel 2.0 in single-user products will be significantly improved.
2) If you make for them project based on 1.9, then they can use 1.9 long time, yes?
3) And I see why you ask. We need ask Lynn.
Lynn, I have see not so far, that company X have ship version N of its products, and say that upgrade is paid, but for guys who have purchase prev version during last 4 month upgrade is free.
I think this has sense, otherwise people expecting next update, simply stop buy. This rule will affect relatively small number of developers comparing to developers that have purchase during last 3 years.
